On January 10, 2016 Deb & I traveled throughout extreme southwest Georgia through small towns and over country roads photographing all things of interest for our collection of images.
We were on a Decatur County, Georgia road traveling south toward the Florida state line when we came upon a couple of old barns in a farmer's pasture not very far from the highway. Nobody appeared to be around and the property was fenced along the highway so we stayed on the 'right-of-way" along the highway so as not to cause trouble by going onto private property without the owner's permission. At that time the longest lens we had were 300mm lens but they proved to be adequate to photograph the barns from the highway since they were so close.
Today the barn I chose to work with using my digital paint brushes was actually photographed by Deb that January 10th. After considerable time I finally settled on this soft pastel painted image, which I find to be very "pleasing to my eyes". Maybe it will be to yours, too.
All visits to our FAA-Pixels art sites are welcomed, encouraged and appreciated. Please visit often and, if you will, tell your friends and family about our art sites. They may find something they like and thank you for the tip.

Great find and presentation, Bill and Deb! I like the contrast between the strong lines and textures of the barn against the roughend textures of the sky and surroundings! Excellent choice of toning too, which nicely contributes to the vintage look! L/F
