This image was captured by us on February 05, 2019 while we visited the bird roofery located on the Alligator Farm in St. Alligator, Florida.
We used a Nikon D850 camera along with a 300mm PF F4 lens boosted with a 1.4 extender.
The title was easy for us, especially me (Bill) as it reminded me of a very special song I have loved for many, many years. The song I am referring to is "When Will I See You Again" by The Three Degrees released in 1974. That song is one of my all-time favorites and always bring goosebumps on my arms when I hear it, which also brings a flood of memories back for me. WOW !! Where has the time gone ???
This image is of 2 adult Great Egrets as they are building their nest. The loving tenderness shown by these two toward each other speaks volumes for the commitment of birds/animals to each other when it comes to producing their offsprings and caring for each other. Just think of how much better this world would be if humankind followed their examples.
WE processed the image with Photoshop CC along with an artistic "oil brush" to elevate (we hope) the photograph to a higher artistic "painting" feel or look.
