This "Monet" style painting actually was a photograph taken by me, Bill, while I visited the Alligator Farm located in Saint Augustine, Florida recently. I decided to try out a new software digital paint brush I had never used until now. After considerable time tweeting it this Monet style impressionism type of art is the result. I hope I got that right about the style or type. Regardless, I found it pleasing to my eyes and even Deb did too so we decided to post it for our viewers to decided for themselves if they care for it. Of course, we expect it will not be for everyone but hopefully enough of you will find it "pleasing" to your eyes.
Now for the title. I chose the title "Hard Landing" for this reason. If you will notice the egret looks as though it is about to have a hard "connection" with the tree brand as it descended from its flight. However, I'm happy to write the only connection it made with the the branch was a few of the tail feathers touched it as it flew by so no damage occurred.
All visits to our FAA-Pixels art sites are welcomed, encouraged and appreciated. Please visit often and, if you will, tell your friends and family about our art sites. They may find something they like and thank you for the tip.

It does, indeed, look as though that branch is its target landing spot, so your title is on the mark, though I'm glad to know that no damage was done. An outstanding painterly style applied here, Bill...I'd say that your work with the new paint brush was a big success! Excellent composition, as well, with the second egret at lower left providing a visual anchor of sorts for the shot as well as a nice, added sense of place for the scene! Well done! L/F

Wow!!! Love the way you have created this Bill. It's really pleasing for the eyes.:)) I will definitely agree with Deb.:).I really liked the way you have described the whole process of creating this amazing work. Though I was focusing more on the landing of the bird ,I couldn't resist myself admiring the observation skills of the other bird at the corner.:) L/F
