What can I say ? Deb captured this brown pelican as it flew over the salt water while we stood on Driftwood Beach, which is part of Jekyll Island, Georgia a few weeks ago. However, since we have already posted more than one aerial brown pelican I, Bill, decided to get a little on the "wild" side digitally speaking this morning. I have always heard as someone ages he/she sometimes reverses back to his/her childhood ages mentally. Maybe that is happening here. Regardless, I got carried away with the digital effects, paint brushes and almost could not stop myself. Finally, I arrived at this stage with this image and thought "WOW, this looks like a mystical fantasy brown pelican soaring across the sky", which brought forth the title name. Folks, sometimes you just have to get into your work and have a little fun or you can go "bat-crap" crazy. Deb has not seen this work yet so she may not speak to me this weekend or she may demand I post the original, which I'm planning to do anyway or on the other hand she may love it. We'll see. UPDATE. Deb is not as much into photo-painting as I but she liked what I did with her brown pelican. So, all is well.
