The call of nature was loud and clear to Deb & I recently since we haven't visited her in a while due to the Summer heat and humidity. So, we loaded our photography equipment and headed to one of our favorite places, which is the Saint Marks National Wildlife Refuge located due south of Tallahassee, Florida along the Gulf of Mexico coast this past Sunday, the 4th of Sep. 2017.
We planned the trip so we would arrive around mid afternoon to allow us time to scout what we thought would be the best location to photograph an evening sunset. After finding and settling on the spot you see in the image posted, which is near the lighthouse on Saint Marks, we then turned our attention to photographing other things of nature such as birds, butterflies, landscapes, etc. while waiting for the time to past.
This posted "Natures Grand Cinema" is an example of how much we have to be thankful for in this beautiful world of ours. For one to be able to simply sit and enjoy such a marvelous and relaxing sight is amazing, at least it is so in our eyes.
This image was captured by Deb and the silhouetted head you see in the image is actually mine as Deb was behind me when she captured this image. She made the comment to me when we viewed all the images this was her favorite of the sunsets so I decided to post it first. We both truly enjoyed our afternoon and early evening together while on Saint Marks as it is one of nature marvels.
All visits to our FAA-Pixels art sites are welcomed, encouraged and appreciated. Please visit often and, if you will, tell your friends and family about our art sites. They may find something they like and thank you for the tip.
