On January 11, 2017 I, Bill, once again visited the Wacissa River, located east, southeast of Tallahassee, Florida accompanied by our tandem kayak. Even though the kayak has 2 seats I was the only passenger on this trip as Deb could not accompany me since it was a week-day. As I paddled around the upper part of the river I saw this beautiful Snowy Egret (scientific name is Egretta Thula) running about in shallow water looking for fish. So I slowly paddled as close as I dared, then started photographing the Snowy with my Nikon & 150-600 mm Lens. I managed to capture this image, among many, as this beauty raced across the water to make a catch with its wings held high. As you can see the area was littered with water lettuce and other types of water plants, which I suppose makes for a fertile fishing area. All visits to our FAA-Pixels art sites are welcomed, encouraged and appreciated. Please visit often and, if you will, tell your family and friends about our art sites. They may find something they like and thank you for the tip. Thank you for visiting. Bill & Deb Hayes
