Recently we were walking around a portion of Jekyll Island, Georgia when we came across a couple with this beautiful dog. Of course, we asked for their permission to photograph their loyal friend.
If you look close you can see grains of sand on a lot of the dog's head, which was left over from him playing in the surf on Jekyll Island, Georgia's Driftwood Beach.
As to the breed, we're not sure but it looks a lot like an Austrian Cattle Dog, but, again, we're not sure.
We were, at the time, using our long lenses on our cameras since we were looking for wildlife to photograph. Therefore, we had to back up a bit to be able to capture a portrait profile of this beautiful and friendly dog.
