This work started out as a photograph captured in Feb., 2013 with a Canon Rebel camera plus a Canon 70-300mm lens while visiting the Yellowstone National Park.
This is one of those images that "spoke to us" (yes, we know that sounds corny but it is our way of explaining the editing techniques) telling us it wanted to be more than a photograph. Therefore, we used several of our artistic software programs to achieve this look. The final step in the production of this work was to use a "Jim LaSala" style of oil paint brush to render it an oil painting, which we found was/is "pleasing to our eyes". Hopefully, most of yours, too.
