On November 11, 2017 Deb and I visited both Jekyll and Saint Simon, two islands lying side by side along the east Georgia coast to photograph all things of interest. While we were on Jekyll Island we found a part of Driftwood Beach we had never visited before. While walking along a path we came upon this scene, which is a view of the sea between Jekyll and Saint Simon and noticed the Saint Simon lighthouse on the far side. The sea was bit rough as one can see in the image plus the early morning was foggy and cloudy. I, Bill, captured this scene from the path using my Nikon D810 camera plus a Sigma 150-600mm lens with a 1.4 extender attached to provide a total view reach of 850 mm.
All visits to our FAA-Pixels art sites are welcomed, encouraged and appreciated. Please visit often and, if you will, tell your friends and family about our art sites. They may find something they like and thank you for the tip.

Fabulous landscape photograph of Saint Simon Island Lighthouse surrounded by turbulent waters, with great fog, light, and perspective, Bill and Deb! F/L

VIEWERS: We came to realize we may have made a mistake with the title as we should have made it clear this image was taken during the early morning while there was considerable FOG in the air, which accounts for the haze look. We probably should have titled it with FOGGY or some wording meaning the same so the viewers would understand the image is NOT out-of-focus. It was a simply a foggy morning. Thank you for viewing.
