Description
New original artwork copies for sale. A few years ago I, Bill, had the crazy idea I would try my hand at actually painting something on canvas. So off to the art-store we went. After buying far too much stuff for this project we returned home to "awaken" my natural painting talents. LOL !!!!
My only idea of what to paint was of a Tic-Tac-Toe game, which we have had since 1977. Where to start? What to do once started? Those were a few of the questions hopping around in my mind. Finally, I thought "the heck with it - just go for it", which I did.
As you know art is subjective, very subjective. After I finished I looked at it and started laughing and thinking "what was I thinking, me an artist? I think NOT".
About that time Deb walked in to check out my masterpiece. "I LOVE IT" she said. I looked at her and asked "what have you been smoking - it's terrible - looks like something a child would do". "I plan to destroy it", I told her. "NO, NO, NO don't you dare - I want it".
So, needless to write we kept it. Next came where to hang it but hide it at the same time. So over our master bath's commode on the wall it was hanged. I mean, how often do you allow people to view your master bath? "Almost never", I thought so I'll be safe. Nobody will know. WRONG !!!
Since we relocated to coastal Georgia, USA after Deb finally retired from her hospital surgery related job only a few family members has seen our new living quarters.
Where is all this going, you wonder? Well, to my decision to post an image of it on our art-site. What convinced me to do so, again, you wonder? My youngest brother and his wife came to visit a few weeks ago. Deb was showing Lisa around the house when they finally walked into the master bath. Lisa said "where did you get that - I love it. Now that is my kind of art" she said. I said, "no way Lisa, you are joking........aren't you"? "NO I mean it" she said.
So now 2 females (Deb & Lisa) love it, which led us to photograph the original, make a few minor artistic enhancements and post it for viewing. Maybe sell a copy or two. We'll see.
