While Deb & I were on a recent photography shoot at the Saint Marks National Wildlife Refuge located about 25 miles or so south of Tallahassee, Florida along the Gulf coast we came upon this Tricolored Heron (scientific name is Egretta Tricolor) standing on top of this post in this small lagoon as though it was watching over its territory. Of course, being it was such a beautiful heron we started photographing it right away. Deb actually captured this image and it turned so good we decided it should be the one we would upload.
