Description
Shown is our (get ready for this) Black & White Infrared Impressionist Photo-Oil-Painting.
First, we photograph a portion of this beautiful Life Oak that seems to refuse to die using our old converted black & white infrared camera.
Second, we edited the image producing an impressionistic style.
Third, we painted the image using a digital oil paint.
For those who may not know (we're explaining this using a simplified meaning), infrared converts the color green to white. Furthermore, it converts the blue in the sky to black or a very dark near black color. It also enhances the white colors. All this means that a B&W Infrared image has a higher amount of contrast compared to a regular B&W photograph. It is like a black & white photo on steroids so to speak.
